UNBOXING YOUR PWP POLE
SET UP YOUR POLE
You’ve got your new PWP Pole. Good news: getting started is simple. Your pole arrives fully assembled. Just open the box, remove the pole, and take a moment to locate any included accessories, such as pole tips, which may be wrapped in packing paper.
HOSE SET UP
The hose comes pre-installed inside the pole. You can keep it internal or pull it out to run externally; it’s completely up to you. That said, we recommend running the hose externally to prevent dirt and debris from being dragged into the pole sections.
CONNECTING TO YOUR SYSTEM
Find the on/off valve at the end of the pole hose and connect it to your purification system. Once your system is running, turn the valve to On, and you’re ready to start cleaning.

USING PROPER PPE
Keep safe on every job by using the proper PPE and gear. This includes equipment such as dielectric overshoes and electric gloves. Using these items can assist you in being proactive in avoiding accidents and being part of a safe work space.

USING THE CLAMPS
PWP poles feature durable, bolt-on clamps that facilitate seamless pole extending and collapsing. When working with your pole, you should use care when lowering sections and not slam them down into one another. This action can cause clamps to dislodge, and they won't work properly.
Please note: Forcing the levers completely open will damage them. Just a partial unlatching is plenty to allow the sections to extend and collapse.
EXTENDING SECTIONS
When extending your pole sections, always watch for the warning indicators near the bottom of each section. These may appear as a thin red line or a fully colored section. If you can see that color above the clamp once it’s locked, the section is over-extended.
Over-extending a pole section puts unnecessary stress on the material and can cause it to crack or snap, so make sure the warning indicator stays hidden below the clamp before getting to work.

DO'S & DON'TS
Taking care of your PWP pole is simple with routine care.
- DO keep your pole clean.
- DO regularly check and tighten clamps.
- DO use an end cap for added protection.
- DO periodically disassemble your entire pole and clean all sections.
- DO clean more often if you run hose internally.
- DO clean and protect pole sections by using a Dry PTFE Lubricant.
- DO check and resecure your End Defenders with two part epoxy if they become loose.
- DON'T over-tighten clamps
- DON'T drag your pole on the ground when you work.
- DON'T store your pole outside or in direct sunlight.
- DON'T store your pole near harsh chemicals like bleach.
- DON'T use it with or near harsh chemicals.
- DON'T let dirt and debris build up on the inside of the sections.
- DON'T store brushes with bristles down on a surface.
- DON'T hang brushes by the tubing.
PROTECTING YOUR POLE
PWP Water Fed Poles come with a built-in base cap designed to protect the carbon fiber from everyday wear and tear. The metal or plastic end pieces absorb impact, helping keep your pole in top condition.
For extra protection, use the included molded base cap. It slides over the bottom of your pole to shield it from bumps against concrete, asphalt, or other hard surfaces while you work.
Even with these safeguards, always avoid dragging your pole across the ground to prevent damage.
CLEANING YOUR POLE
Whether your hose runs inside or outside your pole, it’s a good idea to do a full teardown and clean each section at least once a month. Most PWP poles allow you to fully separate the sections. Rinse them thoroughly with a hose, then dry with a soft, clean cloth. For smoother operation, you can apply a Dry PTFE Spray or car polishing compound; avoid using regular WD-40.
We recommend running the hose externally to prevent dirt and debris from entering the pole. If you choose to run it internally, make sure to clean your pole more frequently, as accumulated debris can cause premature wear.
