WHAT IS A WATER FED BRUSH?

THE BASICS

You need a water fed brush to be on the glass to agitate the dirt and grime so it can be rinsed away; a purification system and water fed pole are only going to get you so far.

HOW DO I CHOOSE A MATERIAL?

The are three main types of brushes, Nylon, Hybrid, and Boar's Hair. Each has it's perks and drawbacks. It really just depends on your cleaning style and what sort of jobs you're taking on to determine which is best for you. Most window cleaners will keep multiple brush types on hand for different cleans.

NYLON

Nylon brushes are the most affordable and durable. The synthetic bristles easily glide across glass. These are good for your regular cleans that don't get very dirty. Most times you could also leave the brush on the glass as you rinse.

HYBRID

Hybrid brushes are the most universal. They give you the ability to adapt to slightly dirtier cleans thanks to the boar's hair bristles in the center. The outer nylon bristles still allow for a smooth glide across glass. When you need to really agitate up some dirt, the inner Boar's Hair bristles are up for the job. If you could only have one brush, this is what you'll find most useful, and it's also what comes on the PWP Poles.

BOAR'S HAIR

If you find yourself working on glass that hasn't been cleaned in ages with layers of built up dirt, you're going to need an aggressive scrubber to get through it. Natural Boar's Hair bristles are stiff and tough enough to get through the grime without scratching the glass. The drawback with Boar's Hair is that it can get heavy when wet plus you won't want to leave it on the glass when you rinse because it has a tendency to hold onto the dirt. It's the least durable of the options, needing more frequent replacement. This is a brush to keep in the truck for when you find those really gross windows, but probably not your every day option.

HOW DO I CONNECT IT TO MY POLE?

All Pure Water Power poles come with the Fast Lock system so brushes can quickly be swapped out. However, if you still run traditional Euro Threaded tips, we offer Euro Thread Sockets on these brushes. You can choose which one works best for you.

ARE THERE DIFFERENT SIZES?

Pure Water Power offers brushes in three sizes, 16", 20", and 23". For most window cleaners, the 16-inch brush will easily get the job done. But if you're working on larger panes of glass or solar panels, the bigger 20" and 23" brushes will make the day go much quicker.

HOW DO THEY RINSE?

These brushes all have pencil jets installed. The 16" and 20" brushes have four jets, while the 23" has 6 jets. Pencil jets give you a targeted stream of water to rinse away the dirt.
